About

Welcome! Nice to meet you!

I’m so happy you’re here!

Here’s a little about me…

I’m Sarah! I’ve been a wedding photographer since my first wedding when I was 19, so 10 years now. I studied for a BFA in Photography at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. [Fun fact] I started art school to go into illustration! Since I have a Fine Arts degree I believe it gave me an advantage in commercial photography that not many other wedding photographers have, giving me the ability to provide a more artistic and unique style to wedding photography.

My style is on the moodier side, the colors more in-depth and earthier, as well as shadows are more pronounced than the currently common style of wedding photography. I make sure the colors you’ve hand-picked picked for your wedding and skin tones remain true while also enhancing the feeling of the photo higher than straight out of the camera. My style is more documentary and very candid, but I am very good at directing, suggesting, and taking charge when needed to get you the best photos and moments.

On a more personal note, my husband Shane and I have been together for almost 12 years and have tied the knot ourselves, we were high school sweethearts and he is an Occupational Therapist! Now that I’ve been on the other side of the process as well I feel like I have a much better understanding of how overwhelming weddings can be for the couple and it has given me the tools to make your day even more efficient and therefore stress-free and fun!

I have a wide variety of interests including new food/restaurants, board games, sci-fi and fantasy fiction books and movies, toooons of true crime (a serious addiction), craft beer and cocktails (both drinking and making them!) I am a great cook and I love to keep active with hiking, yoga, and trying to get the dogs on enough walks (when I have the time and motivation…haha). I love when I get couples who don’t want to focus on what Pinterest and Instagram considers to be the perfect wedding, and just want to make their day special for them, not for their families, society, or social media, for THEM. Whether its a CO2 canon on the dancefloor, a masquerade-themed ball, or paddling out to an island the size of a living room rug with your competitive canoeing community for a wedding ceremony (yes I have done all these things). So let’s figure out yours today!

That’s me and my amazing husband, Shane at our wedding in Ireland in 2022!

Send me a message for a free consultation over Zoom so we can talk about your dream wedding!

I also have worked for/currently work for:

  • Coffee Pond Photography

  • CL!X Portrait Studios

I will work to make sure your special day is documented and handled with utmost respect and attention. I will do the same for any family portraits, headshots, senior portraits, engagement sessions, and so on! I love meeting and working with new people.
